The Albany Chapter of the Autism Society Of America is hosting a duck derby in Scotia on Oct. 8. What's a duck derby, you ask? Well, it's where they take hundreds of rubber duckies and place them in the river in a race to the finish line. If your duck is the one who finishes first you win a cool $300.

Obviously the main thing is to raise money and awareness for a great cause but it is actually a pretty fun event for the whole family. There will be food, games music and prizes. Tee event will take place at Jumpin' Jack's in Scotia and there will be prizes for first, second, third and last place.

If you would like to buy a duck to race in the derby or donate all you have to do is visit the FirstGiving webpage.

You can get one duck for $5, 6 ducks for $25, 13 ducks for $50 and 27 for a donation of $100.
