The Taste of Country Music Festival is ready to take over Hunter Mountain, but it's not the first time Country Music has come to the Mountain.

As a young country music fan, Hunter Mountain was the first place I saw hot new artists like Garth Brooks, Highway 101, Alan Jackson, Marty Stuart, Clint Black, Kathy Mattea and Neal McCoy. The Hunter Mountain Country Music festivals also gave me the chance to see legends like Willie Nelson (who's coming back this year), Tanya Tucker, Bill Anderson, Ronnie Milsap, Hank Thompson, Grandpa Jones, Lynn Anderson, David Frizzell and Shelley West.

These festivals at Hunter Mountain became a 'must attend' event for any Country Music fan in the late '80s and early '90s. I'm trying to think of more artists that played Hunter Mountain during that time, but I just can't remember them all. Were you there? Did you see any legends at Hunter Mountain? Did you make it a yearly vacation?

The first ever Taste of Country Music Festival is coming to Hunter Mountain for three days of great country music starting on June 13th, 2013. The lineup features Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Billy Currington, Montgomery Gentry,Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, and many more. Tickets start at $120 and are on sale now
