Huge Development Planned Near Busy 146 Intersection in Halfmoon
If you travel along Route 146 near Lowe's and Old Route 146, you have noticed that there is a huge parcel of land that lays vacant. You also will notice it has been filled and leveled just waiting for someone to build on it. We now know what will be built on that land and it is an enormous project.
What is Being Proposed to Be Built on the Land?
Get ready Saratoga County because the proposal is to build a resort-style community with luxury apartments, offices, retail stores, boutique restaurants, and swimming pools! Broken down, the land will contain a total of ten buildings that will be used for different purposes. There will be an outdoor covered atrium along with a rooftop terrace. There will be something called an "elevated bridge pool" between two of the buildings, outdoor restaurant seating, sidewalks, courtyards, and underground parking according to the Albany Business Review.
What Will it Be Called?
The nearly twenty-one acres will be a mixed-use development known as One-Four-Six Marketplace. It will be modeled after the new Starbuck Island on Green Island. Luzzi Construction which developed that project will be involved in this one.
According to the conceptual site plan:
The One-Four-Six Marketplace is designed to foster a fun, relaxed environment that is a walkable community for residents to enjoy and stay connected to the local services and convenience in the Halfmoon area.
When Will One-Four-Six Marketplace Be Built?
After it goes before the Halfmoon Planning Board and other platforms, the estimated time for construction is three years.
