A one-hundred-sixty million mixed-use development off Route 146 is one step closer to being built in Halfmoon.

It was built in the 1970s, and this shopping center in Saratoga County is getting a much-needed overhaul with new tenants moving in.

After a fifteen-year run, the Halfmoon Sandwich & Salad Shoppe closed its doors on August 20th. Although it appears to be the end of this establishment, the owners have announced a new venture.

If you have traveled through Clifton Park you know that there is a ton of growth. There are new apartment complexes popping up. A few years ago there was a proposal to build new apartments at the old Kmart in the Shoppers World Plaza. That plan was shot down. The developers have a new proposal at the same site.

If you travel along Route 146 near Lowe's and Old Route 146, you have noticed that there is a huge parcel of land that lays vacant. You also will notice it has been filled and leveled just waiting for someone to build on it. We now know what will be built on that land and it is an enormous project.

When I'm driving, I'm focused on the cars around me, as I should be, but for some reason these statues grabbed my attention and I can't believe I've never seen them before.

Look for roller skating waiter and waitresses serving you in Clifton Park soon. Sonic Drive-In fast food restaurant is building its third location.
