Holidays For All Or None

If you have Martin Luther King, Jr. day off, enjoy it, and always remember the significance of it. It would be nice if we all had it off, but this leads me to what I call a dumb holiday.

Now before you get mad and start shouting at me, let me explain. This is not the only holiday I consider a dumb holiday. There's Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Veterans Day and Columbus Day. These holidays are confusing, because not everyone gets these holidays off. Are the credit unions and banks closed? Will there be mail delivery? Is the doctor's or dentist's office open?

What I would like to see, (or if I may use a quote-"I have a dream") that all people either get these holidays off, or no one gets them off. This would stop all the confusion. I think most people would appreciate a couple of more legal holidays. It's just a thought.
