In an effort to give back to the front line workers and first responders, McDonald's is offering "Thank You Meals". Here's how it works. According to News 10 ABC, McDonald's is helping to make life a little less stressful for health care workers and first responders from now through May 5th. McDonald's wants to offer the meals as a "token of appreciation for their selfless service".

At participating McDonald's nationwide, the "Thank You Meals" will be available at no charge through the drive-thru or carryout to police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and health care workers.

The "Thank You Meals" are available at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and feature a variety of items including a choice of sandwiches, drinks, small fries, or a hashbrown. They will also include a note of appreciation. It comes in the McDonald's Happy Meal box.

All the first responders need to do is show up in their uniform or show a badge to get the "Thank You Meal".
