A study was conducted to find out what turns women on.  I found it very interesting as to what this study scientifically proved. Again, since it was only done as a study, the results only show what the majority vote was of the participants.  Though I agree with one or two of the items that made the list, two of these items seem a bit skeptical.

#1 - Loud Car Engines: As a woman, many times I look at mucho cars or trucks that go by reving their engines, and think to myself, "Dude, seriously?  It's going to take more to impress me than that."  Men\'s Health talked about this, too.  However, the study found a powerful engine elevates testosterone levels in women's saliva.  I'm sorry, "what?!?!"  While it might catch the attention of many bystanders, I think it might indicate the male driver is trying to compensate for something -- just sayin'.  Even with that said, if you're looking for a manly man, checking out how manly their vehicle is could be a clear indication as to whether he's what you're looking for..

.

#2 - A Deep Voice: I do find that when I meet a guy one of the first characteristics I notice is their voice.  Maybe it's from being in radio, but any guy I've talked to on the phone, whether for business or a social purprose, a deep voice can be very intriguing.   A 2007 study done by scientists proved men with deep voices are seen as more dominant, healthier, and more masculine -- point made.  I agree with #2.

#3 -  Cucumbers: What?  Who wrote this study and the factors that were included on the questionaire?  The study claims the smell of cucumbers (not the shape) increase blood flow in women and make them more aroused.  I think a male wrote this study.  I think the only thing the smell of cucumber makes women think of is putting sliced cucumber on her eyes and having a facial or other spa treatment.  Get your head out of the gutter!

#4 - Bananas: While I do like bananas, especially after a vigorous workout the day before (the potassium helps with muscle soreness), I find it hard to believe bananas help with sexual arousal because of the vitamins they contain.  As I stated this morning when Sean read these results, "are we not looking at the common denominator here?"  I strongly believe the potassium ions in bananas do not make women sexually aroused.  While potassium helps with the blood flow to muscles, I highly doubt it helps with blood flow anywhere else.  Now if you bought me a  Friendly's banana split sundae or any Friendly's hot fudge sundae for that matter as long as it was drenched with their delicious hot fudge, whipped cream and sprinkles, you might get my attention.  Afterall, chocolate is an aphrodisiac.

Are you like me and find this study completely false?  I find it hard to believe a male didn't create this study and answer the questions himself!  If you'd like to read up more on what turns women on, check out Modern Man.
