Former NFL Player and Actor Bubba Smith Passes Away [VIDEOS]

Sad news as one of the greats in the NFL and a star in some of my favorite movies, Bubba Smith was found dead today (8/3) in his California home. Cause of death wasn't known.

Born Aaron Smith, Bubba was selected first overall in the 1967  NFL Draft. He spent nine seasons in the NFL playing with the Baltimore Colts, Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers. He won a Super Bowl with Baltimore in 1971 in Super Bowl V.

After his NFL career, Bubba turned to acting where he was best known for his Miller Lite Commercials and playing Moses Hightower in the Police Academy Movies.

I was always a fan of the Police Academy Movies. Bubba wasn't the greatest actor, but he was certainly a memorable one! Thoughts and Prayers go out to Smith's Family!
