What do you do on the first weekend of spring? Go snow tubing of course. Yesterday was a gorgeous 62 degrees so we headed up to West Mountain to go snow tubing. Ryan was invited to a birthday party so I tagged along. It was such a nice day and a little bit strange considering there was snow on the mountain yet we were enjoying the sun and the warm weather. Jenn even had to apply sunscreen.

It's also funny too that I hadn't been skiing or snow tubing all winter but when it hit sixty degrees we headed up to the mountain. To be honest, that's the only way I like to enjoy the snow. I'm not one who likes being cold, wet, and uncomfortable layered in clothes. This was absolutely the perfect day. There was even a fire pit that I sat near to enjoy the smell of the burning wood.

Although I didn't hit the slopes or go down the mountain in a tube, just being in the sunshine and the fresh mountain air was amazing. For me, I think this pandemic has me slowing down and really enjoying the little things. This was actually the first time I had ever been to West Mountain and it's only forty-five minutes from my house.

Why hadn't I experienced it before? There are a lot of things that I have done during this pandemic that I thought I would never do. Most of them involve slowing down and appreciating the little things. Like I said before, I didn't even go snow tubing, but just being there made me soak all of the beauty it had to offer.
