Tax season is around the corner, but you can get a jump on filing through the IRS right now. Find out if you are one of the ones that can file right now. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is allowing some Americans to file their taxes well before the official beginning of tax season. It's not only convenient but it's also free to follow.

According to News 10 ABC, there are a few stipulations if you wish to file your taxes now and for free. If you made sixty-nine thousand dollars or less in 2019, you are eligible to file with the IRS now and free with their program.

It is all done online and it's safe and secure. The IRS has teamed up with ten different partners to provide the free options for taxpayers to file electronically as long as the requirements are met. There is a list of these partners on the website.

You can't officially file until the season opens on January 27th. So if you do file for free soon, the software company will hold onto your return and then transmit it to the IRS when the season opens.
