The night before the Eric Church was supposed to open for George Strait on his Cowboy Rides Away Tour in January, he accidentally cut his finger.  Not only did he refuse to go to the emergency room, but you won't believe how he stopped the bleeding.

Eric said -

"I was getting a toy out for my 2-year-old. It was held in with a wire tie. My father-in-law handed me his pocketknife. I cut through one of the ties and into the finger . . . it went all the way to the bone.

"I didn't go to the emergency room because I was worried the stitches would take me out of the show. I'm not missing this George Strait show!"

So he dipped his finger in KEROSENE to stop the pain, then SUPERGLUED the wound and wrapped it.

Once he was on stage, he realized he couldn't play guitar wearing the wrap  - so he took it off and let it bleed. He said,

"I have my jeans from that night, got blood all over them. I thought it was kinda rock and roll, bleeding all over your guitar."

Ew!  That's gross!

And you know what I blame!?  Those kids toys that are in extreme packaging!  Outrageous!  We've all been there, on Christmas morning or at a birthday party trying to get that barbie car out of the box or that dump truck that's tied for dear life to the cardboard!

Eric Church is just like us, and let it be a warning to all of us, don't cut your finger when you're opening your kids' toys, especially the night before you open for George Strait on his last tour ever.
