Each year The Strong Museum in Rochester, New York inducts new toys into the National Toy Hall of Fame. For 2023, four toys were selected, each of which may speak to you if you were an 80s kid.

In celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the National Toy Hall of Fame, they added a "forgotten finalist" toy. This toy was never selected to be inducted but they felt it was overlooked. It's the Fisher-Price Corn-Popper toy.

The other toys inducted into the 2023 class were Cabbage Patch Kids, baseball cards, and NERF toys.

According to Christopher Bensch who is Strong Museum's chief curator,

These four deserving inductees represent a great blend of types of play for people of all ages. Baseball cards encourage lifelong playing and collection.
