DEC Makes Video to Teach Proper Poop Etiquette in the Adirondacks
Summer is officially here in Upstate New York, and we're pretty lucky. Nature lovers in our area are surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine beauty that can't be found anywhere else in the country.
Whether you plan on hiking the Adirondacks, camping in the Berkshires, or settling in the Catskills, the NYS DEC wants you to know there's a proper way to "handle your business" when nature calls.
I wouldn't like it if a bear came into my house, dropped a deuce, and didn't clean up afterward. The same thing applies when we're in their home - which happens to be the forest. So do nature (and the rest of us) a favor, and follow the DEC's step-by-step guide on how to poop in the woods properly.
