Dale Earnhardt Jr. — Is This His Year? [POLL]

Yesterday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. won his first race in 4 years at the same location as his last victory at Michigan International Speedway.

For the longest time, all the talk on all the sports and racing shows was "When will Jr. finally win again?"  Now he has and the talk seems to be now, "Is this the year that Jr. wins a championship?" 

I think Dale has a great shot at it. He is having one of the best years I've ever seen him have. He is currently 2nd in the standings, only four points behind Matt Kenseth. In 15 races so far he has 12 top 10 finishes, six of them were in the top 5 and of course the big win in Michigan. I don't think I can see Dale going into another slump like he had been in. This win may be just what the doctor ordered to put him in the championship seat for 2012. Only time will tell.
