Four years ago Governor Cuomo announced a $32 million dollar renovation project for the old Frontier Town property. Some of the upgrades have happened, but not the overall huge project that was promised. So far there is a campground with equestrian access and Paradox Brewery has opened a location near the old west attraction. However, the big project to build glamping spots, guide services in the Adirondack Mountains, attractions, and the renovation of part of the original Frontier Town hasn't happened.

The state blames a lack of investors in the project to make the big project a reality. That doesn't matter to  Muhammed “Mo” Ahmad who bought the original "A" Frame that was at the entrance to Frontier Town with dreams of turning it into a restaurant and store to offer camping and hiking supplies to visitors to the renovated Frontier Town. According to the Times Union, "state officials said a revival was a sure bet." So far that hasn't been the case at all.

Hopefully, some of the promised revitalizations will happen in the future, but without significant investors into the roadside attraction, nature might just continue to consume Frontier Town until it is a distant memory.
