The memories live on, but the property is run down. After 25-plus years, look at what beloved Frontier Town has become. Sad to think that this once was a bustling amusement park. Under new plans, they are hoping to transform the rodeo arena into a modern one with a grandstand for horse shows, and barrel races, and to hold country music concerts.

Did you know there was supposed to be a major renovation and revitalization to Frontier Town in Schroon Lake?

A few weeks ago my family and I went glamping at the new Frontier Town. The New York State Parks took over the land and made it into a functional campground. I was so impressed with what they did with the old Frontier Town.

Over the weekend, we decided to do something we have never done as a family. We went camping, well sort of. We tried Glamping. Now we know the only way to camp is to do it this way. Here's why.

Every time I drive up the Northway, I see the run down ruins of a park that I loved to go to as a kid. I have so many fond memories of this place and here's hoping there is someone out there that can either bring it back, or make it an amazing place to visit again.
