Frontier Town

The Town of North Hudson, where Frontier Town is located along with Essex County are hoping the state will grant them two million dollars to help preserve and restore some of the structures according to the Times Union. Under new plans, they are hoping to transform the rodeo arena into a modern one with a grandstand for horse shows, and barrel races, and to hold country music concerts.

The memories of Frontier Town live on, but the property is run down. Will New York State help to restore and repurpose some of the old structures still standing but dilapidated? Many hope so.

Did you know there was supposed to be a major renovation and revitalization to Frontier Town in Schroon Lake?

A few weeks ago my family and I went glamping at the new Frontier Town. The New York State Parks took over the land and made it into a functional campground. I was so impressed with what they did with the old Frontier Town.

Over the weekend, we decided to do something we have never done as a family. We went camping, well sort of. We tried Glamping. Now we know the only way to camp is to do it this way. Here's why.

Every time I drive up the Northway past exit 29, I see the old Frontier Town sign and reminisce about that theme park. Well now it's good to know that it has a whole new purpose as the Gateway to the Adirondacks.

One of my favorite amusement parks to visit as a kid was Frontier town. It was run down for quite some time and the state has been working hard to utilize the land to create a Gateway To The Adirondacks. The first phase is now open.

Frontier Town, nestled in the Adirondacks, has provided many fond memories for plenty of people in Upstate New York. Here is what New York State hopes to be done with it.

Every time I drive up the Northway, I see the run down ruins of a park that I loved to go to as a kid. I have so many fond memories of this place and here's hoping there is someone out there that can either bring it back, or make it an amazing place to visit again.
