Country Star from Saugerties To Battle Monday Night on ‘The Voice’
In an interview that you'll be able to hear Monday morning right around 7:10AM, the country/ bluegrass style singer that Blake Shelton referred to as a "once in a lifetime" vocalist told Brian and Chrissy on GNA that he'll make his return to NBC's The Voice on Monday night at 8PM. These are exciting times for Ian Flanigan, the low-key, super chill Saugerties native who has the style, looks, talent and the voice to make a deep run on the hit TV show.
“I got my first artists and I’m feeling a lot better about season 19 now,” Shelton said, adding, “Ian is a once in a lifetime vocalist.” Blake Shelton, The Voice
Ian Flanigan only needed one judge to turn around back on October 19th. That judge was Blake Shelton; arguably the most effective and successful of the talent miners on The Voice. While the other judges seemed intrigued when the 30-year-old started to belt out his rendition on Zac Brown Bands "Colder Weather," it was Shelton who took the leap. And boy was he glad he did.
“I got my first artists and I’m feeling a lot better about season 19 now,” Shelton said, adding, “Ian is a once in a lifetime vocalist.”
The next step for Flanigan is the Battle Round. This is the artist versus artist singer/songwriter slugfest against fellow Team Blake member Aaron Scott. The two contestants will sing it out, and then Shelton will make the final decision as far as who stays and who goes home.
We won't give away any spoilers here, but in the interview you'll hear on Monday morning, we get a bit of a glimpse into what Flanigan may be performing that night, and if it's what we think it is, we can't wait!
