The final round of Country Idol Karaoke was held at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway on May 19.  The night was filled with awesome voices and Northeast Country hopefuls dreaming of hitting the big stage to win $5,000 and a performance spot on Fox 23's Center For Disability Services Telethon.

WGNA judges Lou Roberts, Rachel Casper, and Scott Blaine rated each performer on appearance (10 points), vocals (25 points), and stage presence (15 points).  The good-hearted judges seemed to let more singers pass than previous shows, with only four singers cut throughout the night.

In the end, four female powerhouses took home top honors- Melissa Padula, Tricia Misonznick, Laura Poirier, and Loreal Lavigna.  Only one male singer made the top five, with his overall scores actually beating all the women listed above, James Hill Jr.

On June 16, 2011 these great regional vocalists will join the 15 previously selected singers to compete for the grand prize.  The finals will be taped for broadcast on Look TV with a panel of five judges.
