We all try and find a good deal. Well they say if it's too good to be true, it probably is. This lead to an arrest of a man at a local mall selling counterfeit items. Check your cell phone cases, they may have the popular name brand on the case or an accessory, but they may be counterfeit. According to CBS 6, a kiosk inside Crossgates Mall was selling name brand accessories and cell phone cases that were fake.

Guilderland Police say that twenty five year old Allen Mordukhaev was arrested on Friday and charged with trademark counterfeiting. He was allegedly selling fake cell phone products.

There was a complaint back in August about the Shatter and Case kiosk in Crossgates Mall. Police have now seized hundreds of these fake accessories and cases that were being sold as real Otterbox, Adidas, Louis Vuitton and Popcocket accessories.

Police are issuing a warning that there are often agents checking retail locations periodically to find these counterfeit products. Allen Mordukhaev, who ran the kiosk, turned himself in to police.
