Common Roots To Take Over Popular Downtown Albany Brewpub
One of the Capital Region's most popular breweries is set to take over operating a legendary Albany brew pub.
And the good news is, it will still resemble the brew pub you have come to know and love!
Chances are, when you go to a show in downtown Albany, you have a go to pre-show destination. For some it is getting a high-end steak dinner at Prime. For others, maybe it is a great meal at the Bishop. But for most, it is all about a great beer and some pub food before taking in a concert at the Palace Theatre of the MVP Arena.
And what has been probably the most popular destination for the pre-show beer and burger for almost 25-years? The Albany Pump Station!
Common Roots Brewing To Take Over Albany Pump Station
The good news about this new operator for the Pump Station? It will hold on to some of the feel you know and love!
According to a Times Union story, Common Roots Brewing in South Glens Falls will be acquiring C.H. Evans Brewing Company's assets, including the Albany Pump Station at Quackenbush Square. The two companies announced the news together on Monday and did add a few more details to the future of the Pump Station - and Common Roots will continue the beer legacy and tradition that was created there.
The new name of the brewery will become 'Common Roots Brewing at the Albany Pump Station' and Common Roots will continue to brew and offer some of the current Pump Station beers.
This one is a win win for Albany beer lovers! One of our favorite Albany brew pubs will love on, with the new tradition of that Common Roots flavor. Can't wait to try this one when they are up and running on a great Albany night out!
