Common Roots Brewing Co on Fire, South Glens Falls

After a recent announcement of an expansion, Common Roots Brewing in South Glens Falls caught on fire tonight.

I first saw pictures popping up on Facebook of the brewery completely on fire. Post Star quickly got to the scene to report on the story.

Apparently, Common Roots Brewing Co. was open for business tonight and owners were present in the building when it caught on fire. As of 8:00pm Monday night, the building was still burning with five fire departments on scene to help. They're calling it a "fully-involved structure fire." Then, updated at 9:00pm, the fire was kept at bay thanks to a fire wall but the entire front of the building is destroyed. Fire had broken through to all sides of the building, route 9 will be closed until further notice.

It still isn't clear what caused the fire but our thoughts go out to the owners of Common Roots Brewing Co. and hope they can recover quickly.
