The Capital Region is about to make history! A well-known comedian has decided to shoot their next special right here and it's the first time it's ever happened in the area!

Comedian Nick Di Paolo was looking for places to film his next comedy special and, according to the Times Union, he picked Cohoes Music Hall.

Di Paolo will be shooting the special on Saturday under The Comedy Works. Di Paolo first worked at the Cohoes Music Hall in 2017 and apparently, something about it stuck with him. The special will be four-hours long to be aired on television, but no one has officially picked it up yet.

Cohoes Music Hall, on Saturday, will be outfitted with six high-definition cameras and microphones. Some of which will be used for audience reaction for this special as well. According to The Comedy Works, this is going to be the first comedy special filmed in the Capital Region so hopefully, that means other comedians will realize what a great location we are and it won't be the last.

You may know DI Paolo from "The Chris Rock Show," Comedy Central roasts, "Louie," "Inside Amy Schumer," "The Sopranos," and "Horace and Pete."
