Colonie Motels’ Owner Wants To Fix Them

Two Colonie motels were recently raided by Town Of Colonie officials for numerous code violations, and the owner wants to make good and repair them.

The owner of the Central Avenue motels, Alex Patel, owns the Skylane Motel and Blu-Bell Motel. In a story from the Times Union, he is claiming that the Town Of Colonie was not willing to give approval to repair both properties.

Patel’s attorney, John Dowd is claiming that Patel has not been given a fair shot by the town, and is trying to comply by properly making the repairs with permits. Dowd doesn’t believe that town has been cooperating with Patel, at all. Before the raids, He went to the town to get approval for repairs, but the town allegedly delayed any response.

According to Colonie Town Attorney Michael Maggiulli, he’s not aware of Patel ever trying to get the permits needed to properly make repairs on the motels.
