An Albany area motel that is known to house sex offenders will be closing sometime next week.

In a story from WNYT, The Skylane Motel on Central Avenue in Colonie (which has a license to allow sex offenders to stay there) had a large number of code violations – 250 violations, according to a Town Of Colonie attorney. With a little more than a week’s notice, residents of the Skylane were told that they need to make new living arrangements. So far, the motel’s owner is some hefty facing fines.
