Christmas Is When?
The big day is just 2 weeks away, as of the day I'm writing this.
The stores are busy. Traffic has me saying many 4 letter word that I didn't even know that I knew. Today the wife and I will be trekking out to get our Christmas tree.
Usually we just take out the ornaments we have, some go back to the 1940s and 1950s. (Thanks mom and dad) She came home from work, yesterday and said how she'd like us to decorate the mighty evergreen: with white lights, green and silver balls and garland will be discussed later. I prefer the multi-color lights, but that's alright. It will be a great looking tree, when we're finished. I do miss the kids being here and decorating with us. That was always fun, having all of us together. See what happens when they grow up and move on?
This is just a great tradition we do every year, and I always look forward to it. We have an artificial tree, just in case the real one calls in sick! (Thanks, I'll be here all week. Try the veal). Well, they say tis the season to be jolly. Happy holidays.
