Christina Explains Her Flub

We have all seen it by now, most of us watched it live as Christina Aguilera was singing our national anthem when suddenly we all had that "did i just hear that? Did she just mess up?" moment. Facebook and twitter blew up with the same sentiments as me "You get paid to sing, how do you mess up one of the most famous songs of all time?"

Aguilera explained her mistake earlier today stating:

"I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place, I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Caught up in the moment??  Haven't you been singing the national anthem since you were like 7?  Haven't you played to HUGE crowds before?  This is what you do for a living, I just can't buy that excuse!!
