There is another recall and this time it is a variety of pre-cut melons. This pre-packaged melon can contain salmonella. Here's what you need to know. Melon that was distributed and sold to sixteen states including New York have been recalled due to salmonella contamination. According to News 10 ABC, cut watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe that were produced by an Indianapolis based company have been recalled.

Caito Foods, LLC produced the melon and it was sold under various labels at Walmart, Trader Joe's, Target and Whole Foods. The contaminated melon was sold in these stores here in New York.

You are encouraged to check if the melon you have was distributed by Caito Foods, LLC and if it was, do not eat it. Stores are being advised to pull these products. So far ninety-three people have been sick and twenty-three of them hospitalized.

Symptoms of salmonella include diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps.
