We have a great friend here at the radio ranch.  Her name is Margaret Evon-Laier.  We call her DMV Margaret, actually.  Well, when "DMV" has a favor to ask, we jump to it.  And this is a great event in honor of someone very special in her life.

Women's Build-a-Bash is definitely a fun-filled evening happening at the Schenectady Armory on Saturday, September 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and you can hear the Community Relations Manager Karen McLane explain the purpose behind it.

This is September,  and  I'll admit –there are a ton of fundraisers to announce. Every one of them is as important as the next, and this  is no exception,  especially because there is a personal connection.

This is yet another fantastic cause in the Capital Region - raising money for pancreatic cancer research. I had the chance to talk to coordinators, Ned and Shari Piper about an upcoming walk happening in Delmar.  You can hear the interview below

I'm sure you've heard of Roswell Park.  You seen the ads on TV and you've heard them on our radio stations.   They do amazing work, and it certainly a comfort to know that they are here right in New York.  But to continue their incredible research, there's always funding needed, and there are bicyclists from all over the country and beyond willing to help by participating in a benefit ride across

This was my first shot at interviewing solo in the 27 years that I've been on this radio station.  It's fun to try something new, and I couldn't have had a better guest to do this with.
