This weekend is National Drug Take-Back day and across the Capital Region, police departments and pharmacies are giving a safe place to dispose of prescription drugs. According to News 10 ABC, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is holding a National Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, October 26th from 10am until 2pm. There are drop-off locations throughout the Capital Region.

They will collect potentially dangerous, unused, expired, and unwanted prescription drugs plus over the counter medications. There will be no questions asked and the drop-off is free.

Most Americans don't understand that prescription drugs that stay in your cabinets could be misused or abused. They could also lead to overdoses and addiction. The proper disposal of these prescription drugs is vital. This is a free and safe way to get rid of the medications.
