Can The NY Jets Fix Their Mistakes And Get Back To Winning Football?
The New York Jets did not look good on Sunday in their loss at home against the Baltimore Ravens. Zach Wilson won't be back for at least a few more weeks and Joe Flacco didn't play great as the starter. The running game was inconsistent, however showed some major improvements in my eyes. While it is still only week one and the Ravens are a very good team and a tough opponent, the Jets still need to turn things around. Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
It’s going to be a very long season for the New York Jets. Defensively they are much improved but the offense is awful. It’s doesn’t make any difference who starts at quarterback, if the Jet’s can’t run the ball and without a running game, teams are going bring the blitz and make life miserable for either Joe Flacco or Zach Wilson. The Baltimore Ravens are one of the better teams in the NFL, but the Jet’s could have made things a little more interesting on Sunday but the lack offense with a very subpar offensive line, makes that impossible.
MJ and I discussed the Jets earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. We both agree that the Jets had a few bright spots but there is definitely room for improvement. Below is our full conversation on this.
I really hope the Jets can turn around their 2022 season as the AFC is a loaded and difficult conference. Head Coach Robert Saleh needs to figure it out and quick. At least C.J. Mosley was good on the defensive side, and rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson showed some flashes. Running back Michael Carter also was good except for dropping what would've been a touchdown. Next up for the Jets is at the Cleveland Browns Sunday at 1 p.m.
