It's been around since the 80's and is the only walkable Bruegger's location in the Albany area and it has closed its doors for good.

With a sign on their Madison Avenue location door, Bruegger's announced their abrupt closing with really no reason behind it.

"To Our Valued Guests: Sorry we are closed. It has been a pleasure to serve you! Thank you for your loyalty. We hope to see you at our nearby locations!"

The sign gives the information for it's Stuyvesant Plaza and Colonie shops. The owner of 32 Bruegger's in Upstate, New York had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year, so this is most likely one of the casualties from that filing. It's just unfortunate for those that have made the spot a part of their morning routines here in Albany.

The good news, the employees of the Madison Bruegger's have been offered jobs at other nearby locations.
