The two American flags that sit on the Brooklyn Bridge towers are missing!

As of Tuesday morning, the American Flags were gone atop the Brooklyn Bridge and replaced with white flags.

The mystery here is that no one knows how or why!   The Brooklyn Bridge is a high profile location, heavily policed, which makes this even act even more of a mystery!

Police officials are checking security tapes, but no answers have been released.
