Bethlehem HS Rylee Davis – 104.5 The Team Student-Athlete of the Week
104.5 The Team wants to recognize the top high school athletes in Section II. This week, Bethlehem Central Girls Cross Country runner, Rylee Davis is this week's 104.5 The Team's Student-Athlete of the Week!
The Bethlehem High School Junior is an "exceptional student" according to BCHS Athletic Director, Len Keis. Rylee has been having another standout season for the Bethlehem girls’ cross country team. She has been the team’s number one finisher in all meets this season, leading the team to some of its best results in recent memory. Davis has finished inside of the top 10 at every invitational that the team has competed in so far this year, and won the Division 1 girls race at the Grout Invitational in Schenectady with the fastest time of the entire day. Rylee’s finish at the Suburban Council Championship meet earned her a nod as a Suburban Council All Star.
According to Bethlehem High School Varsity Cross Country Coach, Tucker Chrapowitzky, "perhaps more impressive than her individual exploits, Rylee has really grown into her role as a leader and team captain for one of the top teams in Section 2 and in the state. By setting the example in daily training and in her approach to competition, Rylee has led the team to either a first or second place finish in every invitational that they have competed in this year, including victories at the Grout Invitational, Albany County Championships, and the prestigious Eastern States Championship race at the Manhattan Invitational."
The Bethlehem Cross Country team is currently ranked 3rd overall in New York State. With a few more races to go this season, it will be exciting to see what Rylee can do to top it off. Best of luck to entire Bethlehem Eagles team the rest of the way. 104.5 The Team will be taking nominations for "The 104.5 Student Athlete of the Week" from Section II high school athletic directors. Submissions from the athletic directors may be made to charles.voelker@townsquaremedia.com. Nominations should include academic and athletic standing and accomplishments.
