Best Places to Raise a Family in Upstate New York [LIST]

I was born and raised in Upstate New York, Schenectady specifically, and I had a great upbringing. If you were to ask me about raising my potential kids in any other area, I would have no idea- until now.

The study I found on New York Upstate broke down the best places to raise a family in Upstate New York but I narrowed it down to right here in the Capital Region. According to their website, they got the information from Niche's 2018 Best Places to Raise a Family. They come up with the list by evaluating places based on "the quality of school districts, crime rates, cost of living, and family-friendly amenities. The rankings used information available from dozens of public data sources including the Department of Education, U.S. Census, and FBI."
