It is Nissan’s turn now to recall some of their vehicles here in the U.S. Nearly 196,000 sport utility vehicles are being recalled, by Nissan North America, due to corrosion problems that could damage steering and suspension systems.  The recall extends to the Nissan Pathfinder, years 1997 to 2003 and the Infiniti QX4 for the years 1996 to 2004.

If you own a vehicle that falls under the recall, but you aren't sure if there's a problem, Nissan will inspect each SUV and repair vehicles free of charge.  However, you may have noticed some grinding noises while driving your SUV.  If you're having a harder time steering your vehicle, then that's also a good sign there could be a corrosion build-up (CNN Wire Staff, CNN.com).
