What is the Proposed Plan For the Old Office Building?

The Rosenblum Group wants to demolish a small office building that stands at 31 Lafayette Street just across the street from police headquarters. With funding from the state, they will build a five-story apartment complex apartment house. There will be a sixty-four-unit building with not only apartments but an indoor parking area and a rooftop terrace according to the Daily Gazette. It will be called The Lafayette in honor of what street it resides.

The Principal of the Rosenblum Group, Jonathan Rosenblum said this of the project,

I am passionate about developing buildings that are thoughtfully designed and carefully constructed to provide a comfortable environment for their occupants, while also making sure they are energy-efficient, affordable, resilient, and constructed in an environmentally responsible manner. The entire project team shared this philosophy from the beginning, which is evident as the design progressed. It is rewarding to have those efforts recognized. We are honored to be receiving a Buildings of Excellence award as we work collaboratively to bring The Lafayette from an idea to reality.
