This has been one of the strangest years for weather in the Albany area and surrounding communities. Another tornado hit the town of Glen, in Mongomery County, near Amsterdam, on Thursday evening, about 6:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service did confirm that it was a weak EF-0 tornado, which had wind speeds of 70 miles per hour. Fortunately, there were no injuries and just a few broken tree limbs. Someone got a quick video of some of the tornado. When it touched down, there were no watches or warnings or warnings posted.

A stronger tornado passed through Amsterdam a few weeks ago, but I don't have to tell you about all the damage that was left behind from that one. That tornado just made things worse from the problems created by Tropical Storm Irene.
