If you or someone you know is looking for a job, want to start a new career,  or want to make some additional income as a seasonal employee,  then you may want to look into the massive hiring-spree announced recently.

UPS, a company that ranks in the top 50 on the Fortune 500 list of the largest earning US companies, says that they plan on hiring hundreds from the Albany area to keep up with heavy demand forecasted for the upcoming holidays.

According to News 10 ABC, UPS is hiring nearly 100,000 new employees -  700 of those coming from the Capital Region area - as they look to keep up with the holiday demand they expect from October thru January.

UPS which is ranked #41 in the country on the Fortune 500 list, netted 4.5 billion dollars in 2019 and has nearly 500,000 employees and they're looking to add many more in the upcoming months.

According to News 10, the company is looking to hire 400 driver helpers,  220 part-time package handlers, 55 part-time package car drivers, 10 part-time feeder drivers, 6 part-time supervisors and a partridge in a pear tree.  (Just kidding about the pear tree, wanted to make sure you were paying attention.  But if you get the job, you may deliver a few this holiday season!)
