Americade Making Changes
Nearly 200,000 motorcycle enthusiasts will head to Lake George in June for Americade. There are a few changes including a parade, bigger block parties and a ride for kids. Americade is one of the biggest events in Lake George and this year, there are a few changes. They have added to the popular Block Party to accommodate the huge crowds.There will be concerts, stunt demos and craft beer. Now it will take over a stretch of Route 9 or Canada Street for a full forty eight hours and a detour will be in place.
According to the Daily Gazette, there will be the Ride For Kids, it is a fundraiser for kids with brain tumors and a parade will start in Glens Falls and go all the way the Lake George. Scenic tours of Lake George will be added for motorcyclists this year too.
They are moving the expo away from Million Dollar Beach to sites next to the Fort William Henry Hotel and Convention Center. The Convention Center will be the hub for Americade and they will be giving demo rides.
Americade comes to Lake George June 5th through 9th.
