I'm not sure that this horse will be the Kentucky Derby favorite this year, but I am betting he will be your personal favorite. I am still amazed by the gutsy ride this horse had this weekend at Aqueduct.

This horse which is trained by Todd Pletcher is not only extremely well bred he definitely has that instinct to win that you just don't see as much with these young horses. I am not sure I will go as far as to say this horse reminds me of my all time favorite "Affirmed" which was the last horse to win the Triple Crown but there are similarities in their will to win.

In this Grade 3 race jockey, Manuel Franco pulls him back after tripping out of the gate and almost clipping another racer and at that point it would very much seem like the race is over for "Far from Over" but a the name implies , it indeed was far from over.

I give a lot of credit to Franco for an amazing inside turn that made up a little ground in the final turn but I have to say the horse himself finds another gear when it finally got back to the pack. A gear like I said that I have not seen in some time.

What a RACE!
