Pumpkin Power! Fort Edward’s Hilarious Fall Pumpkin Challenge Returns
If you’ve ever wanted to test your strength, balance, and questionable decision-making, this is your weekend to shine.
Fort Edward’s beloved fall tradition at the Garden Barn is back.
Their “All You Can Carry Weekend” is back for its 15th year, happening Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday, October 19th, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Here’s the deal, according to their Facebook page:
- You pay just $15, and whatever pumpkins you can carry for three complete steps are yours to keep.
- No carts, no wagons, no help...just you, your arms, and your pride.
And judging by the comments on their Facebook page, folks are all in on this annual pumpkin-lifting showdown:
“We’ll be back for our 4th annual trip!” – Greg S.
“This is how we used to pumpkin pick on Long Island as kids — so glad the tradition continues!” – Mary S.
“Love this event!” – Matt N.
“Let’s goooooo!!!” – Ali H.
For $15, it’s one of the cheapest and perhaps funniest ways to fill your porch, or at the very least, test your core strength this fall.
Expect to see a lot of laughter, a few dropped pumpkins, and maybe a couple of folks walking away with enough orange to open a farm stand.
So grab your friends, family, and maybe a chiropractor, and head to The Garden Barn Fort Edward this weekend. Because in Upstate NY, it's one thing to pick pumpkins, we carry ‘em like champions.
