Now that Navy pilots are discussing their encounters with unidentified flying objects, perhaps your third cousin's story about those weird lights he saw in the sky out in Cobleskill doesn't seem quite as far-fetched.

Of all of life's great mysteries, I've always been the most fascinated by the thought of alien life visiting us.  The reports of these encounters - by reputable servicemen and women - has most of us thinking about life forms from other planets curious enough to come visit us, but elusive enough to never be viewed clearly or even befriended.

New York Times report confirming that between 2014 and 2015, Navy pilots reported “almost daily” sightings of unidentified flying objects flying at hypersonic speeds and in one reported case, the pilot almost collided with one of the objects.

Is this the start of something?  Will more and more information come forward that perhaps has been 'covered up' by the government?  Will your third cousin finally be treated with respect? I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm not ruling it out.

Here's a list of UFO sightings reported in the state of New York over the past year.
