Albany’s Gamer Con ’22 Later this Month – It’s On Like Donkey Kong!

Video game competitions, career workshops, and a chance to meet and greet some of the industry's most successful gamers and game programmers will highlight Gamer Con 2022, coming to Albany later this month.

Gamer Con 2022 is happening Saturday and Sunday, March 19th and 20th at the Albany Capital Center in Albany New York, and here's what you need to know!

According to their website, HV Gamer Con returns to the area "bigger and better than ever, and now you have the chance to win thousands in cash and prizes."

The site also promises a collegiate esports battle in Super Smash Bros, Ultimate, Rocket League, and Overwatch.

In addition to the competitive gameplay, industry experts will speak at various workshops.

The workshops include, "How to be Recruited to be an Esports Athlete,” "How to Make a Career in Video Game Production” and “How to Establish a Collegiate Esports Program.”

Take a break from the main stage to compete in Madden 22, NBA 2k22, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Meet and greets with top gamers to be announced! You can buy a session pass or the all-access weekend pass to maximize your experience. -Gamer Con 2022

It's worth noting that to be eligible to participate in the public tournaments you must purchase an HV Gamer Con ticket. All ECAC esports athletes competing in a public tournament must purchase an HV Gamer Con ticket to participate. Credentials are not accepted.
