A Break-In at the Health Department

On Tuesday, February 17th, a break-in was reported at the Albany County Department of Health on Green Street. That instantly raised a litany of questions. First and foremost: who on earth breaks into a health department?

Well, the answer is Albany local Lena Jackson. She was found to have forced her way into the building through one of the exterior doors. Once in, it appears she went on a "shopping spree", which isn't exactly helping her in court.

Breaking and entering Just Wasn't Enough

It's pretty obvious that Jackson didn't just break into the health department to have some fun. She made her way to the dental offices, and was able to make it out with dental equipment and two laptops. All of that would fetch a pretty price on resale, that is, if she didn't get caught.

Unfortunately, Jackson's dreams of an easy vacation were squashed pretty quickly. She was caught shortly after the burglary, and arraigned in court on the same day. she has been charged with burglary, criminal mischief, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.
