Albany County Family Wins New York Lottery Million Dollar Raffle
The New York Lottery held its Million Dollar Raffle commemorating the Erie Canal bicentennial last year, with the winning numbers announced at the end of October. Although they didn't reveal the actual winners, they knew where the winning tickets were sold.
The winning tickets were drawn on October 26th, 2025, and there were fifteen winners from all over the state.
One of the Million Dollar Raffle winning tickets was sold at a Stewart's Shop in Schenectady, but we found out that the winners are actually a family from Albany County.
Daniel Jackson purchased the winning ticket at the Stewart's Shop at 1100 Highbridge Road in Schenectady.
The Jackson Family is a family of three from Altamont. They all claimed the top prize of one million dollars and chose to take the lump sum. Daniel, his son, James, and his wife Lisa each received $217,002 after taxes and withholdings.
The Stewart's Shop at 1100 Highbridge Road in Schenectady received a five-thousand-dollar bonus for selling the winning Million Dollar Raffle Ticket.
