State Police Respond to 911 Hang-Up Call

Two people were arrested in Saratoga County after New York State Police followed up on a 911 hang-up call that led to the discovery of an injured victim.

According to New York State Police, troopers from the Wilton barracks responded to a residence in Northumberland (about 45 minutes north of Albany in Saratoga County) around 10:25 p.m. on January 3, 2026.

During their investigation, troopers located a victim with a facial injury, and two people accused of the crime and coverup.

She Prevented a Call to 911

Police say their investigation determined that Sarah Z. Davis, 33, of Albany, was involved in an altercation with the unnamed victim.

Accordng to the NYSP, Davis is accused of forcibly taking property from the victim, preventing them from calling 911, damaging the victim’s property, and causing injury. She now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including robbery and assault.

He Lied About an Active Warrant

Troopers also arrested Zachary J. Bryant, 31, of Albany, who police say was present during the investigation and provided false identifying information. Authorities say Bryant lied to the police because he had an active arrest warrant.

State Police say that both individuals were taken into custody at the scene and transported for processing. Davis was arraigned and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility, while Bryant was issued an appearance ticket and later turned over to another police agency due to the outstanding warrant.

As always, all charges are allegations, and those involved are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
