#1 Capital Region Haunt doing a Halfway to Halloween Spooktacular

I don't think anyone wants to rush through Spring and Summer here in the Capital Region, but a top-rated haunted attraction in the area is so excited for Fall, that they're throwing a "Halfway to Halloween" event later next month.

Double M Hayrides in Ballston Spa NY

We have a ton of great Halloween Haunts here in Upstate, NY, but a perennial favorite in the Capital Region is the Double M Hayrides in Ballston Spa.

Normally, they start their season at the end of September. Still, they can hardly wait, and they recently announced their first-ever "Halfway to Halloween" event in May.

This week, The Double M announced that on May 18th, they'll be showing a horror movie outdoors with visits from various "creatures" to make the movie a little more frightening, in addition to two haunted houses...if you dare!

The Movie

The Double M will be featuring a special screening of Halloween (2018) and they've warned guests to "stay alert as you watch Michael slash and slay because the creatures of Double M will be lurking amongst the crowd."

Guests can enter the mysterious Miss Edna’s Manor where a seemingly normal old woman welcomes you into her creepy home where nothing inside is normal at all. If you make it out alive, you will enter into Secret Society, rumored to be a dangerous cult that serves an unexplained power.

Ticket Info and Other Pertinent Stuff

Tickets are $25 per person with a limited quantity available online only.
Gates open at 7:00 pm and the movie will begin at dusk.
The Double M asks that you bring your blankets or chairs for the movie.
Your journey into the haunted houses will begin after the conclusion of the movie.
Our concession stand will be open for snacks during the movie. No outside food or beverage is permitted.
Halloween (2018) is rated R. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian over the age of 21. ID is required for proof of age. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted.
Our haunted hayride will not be open during this event.

New York Mob Boss John Gotti's Abandoned Mansion with Secret Room Discovered!

NY mob boss John Gotti's mansion sits abandoned in Old Westbury with many possessions still inside. The Gotti compound boasts a main house, a pool/guest house, a garage, a horse stable with an unfinished in-law apartment, an overgrown basketball court, and a triple-level hot tub/pool/swim-up bar. This was the mansion that Gotti's daughter Victoria called home with her 3 sons John, Carmine, and Frank. They filmed the reality show "Growing Up Gotti" here for 3 seasons in 2004 and 2005. After the feds raided the mansion in 2016, it has laid dormant with a lot of possessions left behind. What trespassers found was something no one expected. A hidden room behind a built-in bookshelf.
