In Albany, Washington Avenue Extension at Fuller Road will have a partial closure this Saturday and Sunday, because of some construction on the Albany NanoTech Building.

Even though Tropical Storm Irene has moved on, she has left quite the path of destruction behind for us to clean up. Countryfest is like anything else, it is not good or evil, it is all what you do with it that matters. Like fire, if you use it correctly, it is a wonderful tool , if you use it incorrectly , you get burned. I hate for those who get burned to not want to risk the fire again so I give you some tips to enjoy your day at Countryfest.
I've always bragged to people about how great the Capital Region is to live and work in. The traffic here has always been miniscule compared to other areas. (I was born and raised in the land of the Long Island Expressway - nuff said!) But things are changing here AND ELSEWHERE.
Where the hell are the plows today? I'm so mad I could spit nails. If I could spit salt and sand I would have at least put some on the roads unlike the non-existent plow drivers today.
