Reading, Writing, & Rhyming

I'm very excited to be able to offer this.  It might be a first in the 17 years that I have been conducting the "Reading, Writing and Rhyming" school tour.   See offer below - but you better act NOW

I'm not sure if  you folks are aware of this, but the Reading, Writing and Rhyming school program also operates in the summer.  If you are a summer school teacher or counselor, you can fill up the limited availabilies right now.

I'm so sick to death of the media ripping schools apart for the things they don't do right.  You'd never know it in my book.  Follow me now as we visit another great Albany area school and hear from some  incredible kids on National Incredible Kids Day.

The anti- bullying crusade continues here at Townsquare Media.  We are continuing to take the message to schools throughout the Capital Region through the "Reading, Writing, and Rhyming Tour", and thanks in no small part to Hannaford Supermarkets for sponsoring the program.  Here's the latest song creation from the super-singers from Van Corlaer Elementary in Schenectady.

Once again, I experienced a 24-hour period where I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.  It happened right after I visited Slingerlands Elementary School. These kids love to read and SING - what a perfect fit for the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour.

I had quite the experience today .  I might be smiling about this one for the next week!  I spent the better part of the day in a town that was vaguely reminiscent of my hometown - Salem, NY!   I actually had two very good reasons to go there!

If you are asking why I like writing songs with elementary school kids just read some of these thank you letters.  You'll never wonder why again!

Early to bed, early to rise-exercise, exercise, exercise!  (I don't know if that was the original saying, but I tweaked it!)  Exercise has to begin with the young.  How young?  How about first graders?  Not only are they great exercisers, they're even better rhymers!

You've heard the fun songs Richie has created with kids on the Sean and Richie Show with his Readin', Writin' and Rhymin' Tour.  But maybe you'd like to see him in action.  Well, you can-this Sunday on Fox News at 10:30am.  The show you're looking for is "Parentology".

This class thought I was crazy.  I asked Mrs. Nugent's class at Saddlewood Elementary in Colonie if  if they thought they could create and record an anti-bullying song in an hour or less.  I got varied responses at first.  But like every class I've ever worked with, they succeeded, and it was AWESOME

It's Friday night at about 11:15PM.  Been up since 3:45 this morning. It's been a very long day, but I would do it all again in an instant.  I had the honor and privilege of being invited after the show to go to Schoharie Elementary School to help kids write a song about the devastating floods.  I'm so proud of what they came up with that I want to get this out tonight!

Once again I walked in our front door in the front door of our house  with a huge smile on my face.  Mrs. LaBrake's 4th graders from Roessleville Elementary school came up with an entire Anti-Bullying campaign!
