Woman Assaulted By Stillwater Man While Holding Baby
Stillwater Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a woman while she was holding an eight-week-old baby.
News 10 ABC has a story about the call to Stillwater police, responding to a domestic incident on Friday. When the officers arrived at the scene, they were informed that Jarad Putnam allegedly punched, slapped, kicked and choked the victim while she had the baby in her arms. He is also accused of allegedly breaking the woman’s phone so she couldn’t call the police.
Before the authorities got there, Putnam left the scene taking the baby with him. Police did get the baby, and also caught up with Putnam the next day.
The baby is fine, but Putnam might not be. He was arrested and has some charges on his record including endangering the welfare of a child, assault in the third degree and others.
Putnam was sent to Saratoga County Jail. He has an been ordered to stay away from the woman and the infant by an order of protection.
